Builders Cement – Boral
Builders Cement is our most commonly purchased type of cement bags by both tradesmen and general consumers. It can be used in a range of different applications such as concrete, mortars, renders, and grouts. Any applications where fast and early strength (while setting) is not required Builders Cement is the product for you.
General Purpose – Boral
General Purpose Cement as the name states is the cement used for general purposes such as rendering, bricklaying, tiling, general landscaping, mortaring and concreting. General Purpose Cement can be used in any areas where chemical attack is not a predicted risk.
Off White Cement – Boral
Off-White Cement is a specially made general-purpose cement that has a been lightened to an off-white colour. Combined with selected sands, aggregates and oxides it creates an attractive finish to brickworks, rendering, exposed aggregate pavements, and panels. Off White Cement provides a strong light coloured mortar that can highlight the texture and tones of modern bricks.
Rapid Set No Mix Concrete – Boral
Rapid Set No Mix Concrete as the name suggests sets rapidly and is used in lower than normal strength applications. Because it is a rapid setting and all the materials are already part of the mix you should not mix it in a wheelbarrow or outside the area that it is going to set in otherwise you risk it setting in the incorrect position. Rapid Set No Mix Concrete is perfect for fence posts and letterboxes, anything that needs to be quickly held in position.
Concrete Mix – Boral
If you aren’t sure how much cement, sand or aggregate to create the best concrete mix, Concrete mix requires no thought at all. All the ingredients are already measured out in the correct ratio and packed into a 20kg bag. Concrete Mix is great for any general-purpose concrete applications where a high strength quality concrete is needed, some examples of such applications are; footpaths, slabs, and footings.
Sand and Cement – Boral
Sand and Cement a proportioned mix of selected graded sand and cement. It has been specifically engineered to cut time and money for builders and even general handy person around the home. Sand and Cement can be used for patchwork, bedding for pavers, repairing damaged concrete and can even act as a general render over bricks.
Hydrated Lime – Boral
Hydrated Lime or Plaster’s Lime is a high-grade hydrated lime product in a 20kg bag. The main applicate for this product is the enhance plasticity and binding qualities of render and improve the durability of mortar mixes. Plaster’s Lime conforms to AS 1672.1 “Limes for Building”
Premium Clay – Boral
Premium Clay (also goes by the name Builders Clay or Ball Clay) consists of superfine kaolin clay and has high dry strength, refractory and plasticity properties. Premium clay should be used with caution as it can cause the structure to be weaker than intended or shrink. There are a few things to be wary of like the type of sand being used and the amount. The rule of thumb is use as little as possible. The main issues for the product are plasticiser for building mortar, general-purpose filler or an ingredient in refractory formulations.
Uni Sand – Boral
Uni Sand is made from fine washed sand that has been kilned dried to reduce the moisture within the product. This product is used in various applications from sandpits to BBQ’s. If you have artificial turf then this would be the product to use on top because the grains are so fine they have little trouble seeping through the base of the turf. Being sand it can also be used in paving and rendering.
