White Bush / White Brickies Sand
White Brickies Sand is our clean, cakey sand that is used for rendering. It’s unique properties lets you change the colour of the render without colour spilling or mixing. It is also a popular sand to use while tiling mixed with Blue Circle Off-White Cement to form the foundation of the tiling job.
Coarse / Paving River Sand
Coarse / Paving River Sand as the name suggests is the coarse version of the Washed River Sands. This sand contains small stones that give it its coarse property. This sand is mainly used as bedding, and in concrete that doesn’t require a clean finish. Another great use for Coarse / Paving River Sand sand is to mix it through garden beds which dramatically increases drainage with the bonus benefit of minerals from the river bed.
Fine Washed River Sand
Fine Washed River Sand is the finest sand that we stock, it’s clean and doesn’t contain large stones which makes it a great ingredient for concrete or as bedding. When compacted Fine Washed River Sand almost reaches a state of solidness also though we don’t recommend this for underneath pavers unlike Paving Sand. Fine Washed River Sand is also good for the grass and is one of the key components in Top Dressing Soil. This Sand has natural minerals for the river bed it’s gathered from and is fine enough to shive through the top layer of your lawn. With no coarse stone materials, your lawn mower will NOT be flinging small rocks through your house windows.
Sydney Sand
Sydney Sand made up of double washed beach sand, which is a fine consistent grain size and is yellow in colour. Main uses for Sydney Sand are tiling, rendering and even sandpits for the kids due to its lack of clay content. Sydney sand can also be used as filling between pavers but we recommend the Boral Uni-Sand as it is finer and dryer than this sand.
